Expanding to More Than Just Music – Artists Verging on Interactive Video Games

More and more, it seems, music artists are looking towards areas of technology to grow and expand their creative brand. For many of them, they will often fall back on a previously earned college degree in a field like fine arts or graphic design, knowing already how to construct and create often complex messes of coding that even someone with the most patience in the world would be frustrated at.

The game can be played here:

A side-scrolling platformer where you explore LA with Kreayshawn and take down basic bitches with swag!

If you are unfamiliar with Kreayshawn, I recommend you familiarize yourself with her awesomeness by taking a look at one of her videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WJF jXtHcy4

Left and right arrow keys to move
Z to jump
X to shoot

E to exit to world map
R to reset the level

The game above sees an 8-bit Kreayshawn jumping over “basic bitches” and features little 8-bit tunes of her music. Not only is the game a wonderful 2-d feast for the eyes, but, most importantly, it’s actually and truly just really fun of a game to play. It’s actually enjoyable to play the game and jump around as a rowdy, little animated Kreayshawn.

The game was produced and developed in helped by Stencyl, whose work and the game can be seen and included here.
